Introduction

Hello every one my name is Ben Westrate. I am a Senior at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. I am a Media Communication Systems major with a Web Emphasis. Okay, I know that's a mouthful, but what that means is that I am going to graduate with a degree that has taught me how to be creative along with the ability to think like a systems analyst. This gives me a powerful combination of creativity and analytical thinking. 


The purpose of this blog is two fold. The first major reason is because I want to challenge myself in my photography to really take in the light and the world around me. The second reason is I am doing this for a class and I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone. 


My goal would be to take pictures all week and then choose the one that will represent the way the light set the tone of the scene. Once I have chose that photo I will write about how I took the photo and then what exactly the scene means to me.
